The city council in British Columbia is seeking consulting services to design and facilitate a community safety strategy workshop. The selected consultant will be responsible for developing and leading a workshop that helps council members clarify the direction, scope, and desired level of engagement for an upcoming community safety strategy.
Key activities include reviewing and analyzing frameworks from comparable municipalities, guiding council discussions to identify priorities, guiding principles, and desired outcomes, and preparing a document summarizing lessons learned and key considerations related to strategy scope and engagement methods. The consultant will also present analyses of formal community safety strategies from other jurisdictions, highlighting strengths and limitations to help the city council determine their preferred approach.
This engagement requires a deep understanding of community safety and well-being frameworks, as well as experience in group facilitation and municipal strategy development. Questions regarding this opportunity must be submitted by January 20, 2026.
