A project in New York is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive community outreach services for a core grant initiative. The selected vendor will be responsible for facilitating stakeholder engagement, gathering public input, and leading educational activities related to the project.
Key responsibilities include organizing door-to-door outreach and posting informational flyers at local businesses in neighborhoods adjacent to the project sites. The vendor will collaborate with the city to plan and facilitate public meetings addressing topics such as project removals, best management practices, species selection for plantings, and volunteer recruitment. Additionally, the vendor will lead design charrettes to inform planting plans and develop educational materials and training sessions to teach participants of all ages how to identify, harvest, and process forageable trees and shrubs introduced through the project.
