The state of Washington is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive community outreach and education services tailored for app-based, gig, immigrant, and refugee worker communities. The successful vendor will conduct targeted outreach efforts, ensuring engagement with gig economy workers as well as immigrant and refugee populations, and will develop culturally relevant and language-specific resources and materials related to app-based work.
In addition to outreach, the vendor will design and deliver culturally informed trainings, covering complex topics such as labor laws to help empower worker communities. The scope of services includes providing intake counseling, referrals, and complaint resolution, specifically for app-based workers. The vendor is also expected to offer support services such as case management focused on job placement, housing assistance, and community advocacy, contributing to the overall well-being and inclusion of workers in need.
The contract term will be one year, and all interested parties are encouraged to consider the specific needs of Washington’s diverse worker populations when preparing their proposals.
