DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Atlanta, Georgia seeks a vendor to provide community-based forestry services with the goal of maintaining and advancing a healthy urban forest. The selected provider will help ensure that residents continue to enjoy the many benefits of Atlanta's urban forest.

These benefits include improving public health by reducing air pollution, mitigating stormwater runoff and flooding, and lowering urban temperatures to reduce heat-related illnesses and deaths. Additional outcomes are increased usability of streets and sidewalks for pedestrians and cyclists, decreased right-of-way maintenance and stormwater infrastructure costs, ecosystem and wildlife habitat health, enhanced property values and commerce, attraction for conventions and special events, and improved neighborhood aesthetics.

Vendors are expected to support the city's vision for sustainable urban forestry, addressing both ecological and community well-being.
