The agency seeks a communication consultant to enhance awareness and understanding among stakeholders about formalization and responsible mining practices in Ghana. The consultant will design targeted communication campaigns for stakeholders including miners, government agencies, financial institutions, and local communities.
Core responsibilities include weekly media monitoring to track and summarize news coverage related to mercury use, proactive media outreach and story facilitation on key issues such as mercury-free mining, and responsible mining practices. Additionally, the consultant will manage social media content development and implementation, creating engaging graphics, posts, videos, and infographics across platforms like Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube, in line with global campaign priorities.
The consultant will also be responsible for producing a variety of communication materials including brochures, fact sheets, infographics, success stories, testimonials, short videos, and blogs, highlighting project achievements and lessons learned. These materials will be disseminated across multiple channels—print, digital, broadcast, and community-based—to maximize reach at national and regional levels.
