The agency seeks communication consultant services to develop and implement strategies that increase public understanding and engagement, supporting the agency's mission. Services include creating cohesive narratives for long-term, complex sites or projects, capturing institutional knowledge, and disseminating technical and legal information for non-specialized audiences.
Responsibilities include scoping and kickoff meetings to establish program-wide and project-specific communication work plans, audience research, and stakeholder analysis focused on environmental justice. The consultant will develop content such as explainer materials, fact sheets, infographics, and other formats to make complex topics accessible.
Additional duties encompass developing digital and social media engagement campaigns in collaboration with project partners, agencies, and co-trustees; managing media and public relations by preparing press releases and media advisories; and supporting public engagement, outreach, and internal coordination efforts.
