DESCRIPTION

A government authority in California is seeking a qualified vendor to provide and install a cloud-based collision avoidance system on a 2021 New Flyer XN60 articulated public transit bus. The system should offer robust detection capabilities, generate alerts, and provide advanced analytics and reporting tools for incident review and operational management.

The collision avoidance system must include a management utility that enables users to review collision alerts, system statuses, analytics, and operational logs. This utility is required to integrate seamlessly with existing technologies, including Microsoft 365, organizational networks, security systems, ArcGIS, GPS, and Microsoft Power BI and SQL Server Reporting environments. The solution should either integrate with or include web-based business analytics and visualization tools to deliver dynamic, real-time dashboards and reports.

Vendors should provide a software solution that utilizes highly available cloud services such as Azure, GCP, or AWS, enabling secure access and data evaluation. The system must reliably distinguish and limit false alerts, activating only when real hazards are detected, and be capable of tracking, reporting, and alerting for issues such as improper following distances. The initial contract for this project will be for a period of two years.
