A public agency in Alberta, Canada is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive collections management software (CMS) solution for its public art collections. The vendor must demonstrate expertise in delivering and supporting a relational database-driven CMS that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
The proposed solution should support common collections management workflows, offer robust capabilities for conservation and exhibition management, and optimize data management, retrieval, and reporting. Additionally, the software must enable the public to view and search select collection data online, and should be scalable to accommodate future growth of the collection. Integration capabilities with other solutions, regular enhancements and updates, and ongoing compliance with evolving industry standards are required.
The selected vendor will also be responsible for providing thorough training and supporting materials to agency users. Submissions must include references illustrating successful implementation of a CMS for art collections. The anticipated contract term is three years.
