DESCRIPTION

The organization is seeking a vendor to provide implementation services for a secure, scalable, and configurable Collection Management System (CMS) platform. The solution will modernize its collections management infrastructure, establishing a comprehensive digital platform for responsible documentation, preservation, and stewardship of the collection.

The CMS must enable detailed documentation of catalog items throughout their lifecycle, as well as management of all activities and transactions related to these items. It must support records for both individuals and organizations linked to the catalog collection and offer efficient tools for cataloging, search, and retrieval of collection information. Core functionality should include item cataloguing and accession management, provenance and acquisition documentation, condition reporting and conservation history, loans management, insurance documentation and valuation tracking, and rights and reproduction management.

Vendors will be responsible for the CMS platform, data migration, user training, and ongoing technical support to ensure consistent cataloging practices and structured data management in alignment with established museum standards.
