The State of Maryland is seeking a qualified vendor to manage the migration of the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) systems to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. The scope of services includes a thorough assessment of the current infrastructure, applications, integrations, and data dependencies to form a comprehensive understanding of the existing environment.
Following the assessment, the vendor will be responsible for designing a Microsoft Azure architecture that improves system performance, enhances cybersecurity, and ensures reliability and compliance with relevant federal standards and policies. The project will involve developing and implementing a migration strategy focused on minimizing operational disruption and maintaining the continuity of critical national transplant operations.
The selected vendor will execute the migration and configuration of all in-scope OPTN components within the Azure environment. Additionally, the vendor must validate that data continuity, accuracy, and integrity are preserved throughout and after the transition, ensuring all OPTN data and services remain fully operational.
