The State of Michigan seeks a vendor to provide a cloud-hosted museum collection management system capable of supporting more than 500,000 heritage assets across 122 collections. This system must function as both a professional museum collections manager and an Accountable Property System, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and policies.
Key requirements for the solution include robust API-based data exchange, specifically employing RESTful APIs to facilitate integration and interoperability. The system architecture should allow for future extensibility, including potential integration with Army 365 SharePoint Online and other Army enterprise systems.
The selected system must offer comprehensive features such as artifact cataloging, accessioning and deaccessioning, inventory management, object movement and location tracking, support for conservation and preservation initiatives, and management of digital assets, archival materials, and exhibit-related documentation. Additionally, it must include powerful tools for reporting, analytics, and system administration. The solution is to be deployed in a Government Furnished Infrastructure (GFI) cloud environment, with a design that supports seamless connectivity and data exchange with related government systems in the future.
