DESCRIPTION
The organization is seeking a vendor to provide a cloud-based weapon detection software solution to enhance campus safety through advanced real-time video analytics. The software will operate on the existing public safety camera network and must include procurement, implementation, training, and ongoing support. A core requirement is seamless integration with the current security infrastructure and compatibility with Hanwha and Axis camera systems. Both on-premises and cloud options must be provided, with a preference for on-premises deployment.
The system should reliably and accurately identify a broad spectrum of weapons such as handguns, rifles, shotguns, and knives, achieving high accuracy rates (e.g., 95–99% for clearly visible weapons) and supporting long-range detection depending on camera resolution.
