DESCRIPTION

A public agency in Ohio is seeking a vendor to provide a cloud-based transit signal priority (TSP) system that enables corridor-wide coordination and improved schedule reliability across multiple jurisdictional stakeholders. The TSP solution should utilize a cloud-hosted, centralized architecture, generating priority requests and executing decision logic outside of traditional traffic signal controllers, thus enhancing coordination across multiple intersections. The system is expected to decrease overall route travel time by reducing schedule deviations and minimizing intersection delays, ultimately improving on-time performance.

The selected solution must offer standards-based communications with traffic signal controllers, documented APIs for dashboards and integrations, and a user-friendly real-time monitoring portal. Adherence to standardized cybersecurity and data privacy requirements is mandatory. Integration with the Agency's CAD/AVL (Computer-Aided Dispatch/Automatic Vehicle Location) system and support for real-time vehicle position and schedule adherence analysis are also required. The contract will be awarded for a two-year period, with questions due by April 3, 2026.
