The desired platform must deliver comprehensive features for course, room, and faculty scheduling, leveraging data-driven insights to support academic planning processes. Key capabilities include predictive academic schedule planning using historical enrollment data, degree maps, and program progression trends, enabling accurate forecasting and optimized course offerings for both single-term and multi-term planning.

The system should employ a secure, cloud-based architecture with single sign-on and mobile accessibility, supporting users across multiple campuses. Integration with the Banner SaaS student information system is required to ensure seamless, bi-directional data flow, reduce errors, and minimize redundant data entry. Additional requirements include intelligent room and resource optimization to maximize facility and technology usage, robust workflow features with role-based permissions, and collaborative tools to support distributed scheduling responsibilities.
