Salem City Schools
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The school division seeks a vendor to provide and implement a cloud-based software system designed to assist with school transportation routing and related features. The solution must be hosted in the cloud, ensure the security of school division and student data, and offer reliable backup of routing information.
The vendor is expected to supply both the software and any required devices—such as tablets—that can monitor GPS navigation and maintain real-time connectivity with buses, drivers, and existing student information systems. The system should also enable parents to access bus stop information for their students via an online portal and receive timely notifications regarding delayed buses, bus and route changes, and other transportation updates.
The solution must support flexible student transportation schedules, accommodating situations such as split custody, daycare pick-ups and drop-offs, alternating weeks or months, and specific days. Preference will be given to products that feature mobile and app access, and vendors should demonstrate proven, automated integrations with PowerSchool. All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted by April 21, 2026.
