DESCRIPTION

The organization seeks a vendor to deliver a cloud-based SaaS enterprise library management system. The solution should encompass the set-up, provision, and ongoing support of a hosted integrated Library Management System (LMS), featuring modules for acquisitions, circulation, cataloguing, interlibrary loan, electronic resource management, as well as a user-facing public access interface with advanced discovery functionalities. The LMS will replace the library's existing system.

The project includes migration of bibliographic, item, authority, holdings, patron, serials control, circulation, acquisitions, and electronic resource data from the current system to the new platform, ensuring proper mapping of all record types and metadata fields. Required features include cataloguing and authority control, circulation and self-checkout capabilities, and robust electronic resource management with user authentication.

Advanced search and discovery functions must be supported, such as wild-card searching, left-to-right and internal truncation, browse searches by author, title, subject, and call number, Boolean and proximity operators, as well as phrase searching. Additional requirements involve comprehensive data querying, retrieval functions, management reports, logging, and statistics. The LMS should also provide a proxy to securely manage network traffic between the library’s internal network and the internet for third-party resource access, and must include a secure REST API for accessing and updating records.
