Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The client seeks a vendor to provide a cloud-based software solution for planning, permitting, business registration, and code enforcement. The desired system should deliver end-to-end workflows for land use and business registration, supporting processes such as application intake, internal review, revisions, approvals or denials, and final issuance. It must be capable of accommodating varying application types—including zoning, variances, conditional uses, and business registrations—with configurable review steps, required supporting documents, and staff routing.
Key features should include dashboards for applicants and staff that display real-time application statuses, outstanding tasks, deadlines, and next steps, reducing the need for routine status inquiries. The software should feature automated notifications and correspondence tools, enabling customizable templates for acknowledgments, deficiency letters, hearing notices, approvals, and denials, triggered by workflow milestones and suitable for both internal and external communications.
The system should also include a meeting management module for planning and zoning commission sessions, supporting agenda creation, staff reporting, packet assembly, distribution, and archival. It must allow for public comment submission, comment association with agenda items or cases, and the preservation of public records. Centralized document management is required, supporting version control, uploading, organizing, and storage of materials, with clear tracking between current and superseded documents.
Robust search, reporting, and analytics capabilities are necessary, providing tools to efficiently locate applications, parcels, and related information, and to generate both standard and custom reports for internal and public use. Role-based access and audit trails should be enforced to ensure proper permissions and transparency, with logs of actions such as submissions, edits, and approvals for accountability and public records compliance.
