DESCRIPTION

The government authority in British Columbia is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive refresh of network switches and deploy a modern, cloud-based network management platform. The project requires provision of reliable, scalable switching hardware for replacement of all existing switches across district sites and wiring closets.

The selected platform must offer centralized management in a multi-vendor environment, supporting robust remote troubleshooting, monitoring, and diagnostic capabilities, with complete configuration visibility. It should enhance network performance, reliability, and operational efficiency while maintaining compatibility with current wireless infrastructure and managed routing and firewall services.

Vendors are to specify multi-vendor support, indicating which third-party devices can be monitored or fully managed. While cloud deployment is preferred, on-premises and hybrid options are also acceptable. Pricing should be provided for replacement hardware compatible with the proposed management platform. The contract period will extend for five years.
