An organization in Ontario, Canada is seeking a vendor to provide a cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution to replace existing on-premises and legacy applications where appropriate. The desired ERP platform should offer comprehensive capabilities for automatic monitoring and reporting of financial controls throughout its scope.
Key requirements include support for multiple distinct business units such as subsidiaries and international branches with unique account structures and differing fiscal year ends. The system must enable creation and configuration of additional ledger accounts without disrupting current accounts, and allow for General Ledger (G/L) access control using workflows and Delegation of Authority (DOA).
Other essential functions are the management of product, account, and customer hierarchy structures, configurable approval workflows for routing journal entries, and secure integration of journal entry data from external systems employing standardized formats, validation rules, and full auditability. Automation of account reconciliations, allocation of transactions to proper reporting periods based on true effective dates, and comprehensive audit trails are also expected.
