SUMMARY

Seeking a vendor to provide, configure, and implement a cloud-based electronic permitting system for the City of Alberta to automate permit processes and improve user experience.

DESCRIPTION

The City of Alberta is seeking a qualified vendor to provide, configure, and implement a centralized cloud-based electronic permitting (e-Permitting) system. This project aims to digitize and automate the entire permitting process, introducing a modern platform where applicants can electronically submit permit applications and all required supporting documents.

The new e-Permitting solution must automate routing, reviews, and workflow approvals, which will significantly reduce processing times and improve both the accuracy and consistency of the process. Key features include online payment processing, centralized document management, scheduling of building inspections, and real-time tracking of permit status. The system must offer a user-friendly online self-service portal, enabling applicants to receive real-time updates and notifications, increase transparency, and reduce follow-up inquiries.

Additionally, the system should integrate with the City’s existing software and platforms, including Bluebeam, Cityworks, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Business Central/Sylogist Gov ERP. The project also includes enhancing inspection scheduling, routing, and support for mobile or field operations. All questions regarding this opportunity must be submitted by February 24, 2026.
