DESCRIPTION

A healthcare organization in New York is seeking a vendor to provide a cloud-based electronic glycemic management system. The platform should function as software-as-a-medical device, offering advanced analytics, continuous surveillance of blood glucose levels across the entire patient population, and automated reminders for glucose checks. The system must support dashboards that facilitate care coordination and include seamless interfaces for charting, medication administration, and documentation with the existing EMR system (EPIC).

Key requirements include integration with EMR (EPIC), laboratory, MAR, and order set systems for real-time data aggregation and decision support regarding insulin dosing. The software should deliver individualized dosing recommendations based on each patient’s insulin sensitivity, leveraging both historical and real-time data to anticipate future needs. A SubQ module for carbohydrate counting and determining meal bolus insulin doses must be available. Additionally, the platform should identify patients who are not currently on insulin therapy but may benefit from glycemic management and provide comprehensive reporting aligned with national standards of care.

The contract period for this engagement is five years.
