SUMMARY

The county is requesting proposals for a turnkey cloud-based disaster recovery platform that provides advanced protection for VMware environments, supporting low RTO/RPO, VM-level replication, and Azure VMware Solution integration.

DESCRIPTION

The county seeks vendors to provide a turnkey, cloud-based disaster recovery software solution specifically designed for VMware environments. The platform must deliver low Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of 4 to 24 hours, ensuring reliable failover and failback capabilities to meet critical continuity requirements.

The solution should natively integrate with VMware vSphere, supporting virtual machine-level replication across both on-premises and cloud environments, including Azure VMware Solution (AVS). It must utilize Changed Block Tracking (CBT) or similar technology to maximize replication efficiency, minimize data transfer, and protect all relevant virtual machines and workloads within the county’s environment.

Additional requirements include scalability, vendor-agnostic architecture, direct replica storage on disaster recovery virtual machines, pre-created and ready-to-run replica VMs, and multiple recovery points for instant recovery. Secure connectivity to Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and seamless use of AVS as a disaster recovery target are also essential.
