DESCRIPTION

The agency is seeking a vendor to provide and implement a cloud-based commercial vehicle registration software system. The solution should facilitate all interstate, intrastate, and commercial vehicle registration processes and support carrier fuel tax reporting and collection. The system must issue credential documents, offer robust audit functionality, and enable tracking and completion of audits within the platform.

Key requirements include integration capabilities with federal and state systems, comprehensive financial, accounting, and reporting features, and the management of motor carrier applications, renewals, licenses, fee payments, record updates, and document retrieval through an online portal. The software must replace the agency's rigid legacy Carrier Information Computer System (CICS), improving customer experience and processing efficiency.

The solution must also manage motor carrier certificates, permits, insurance requirements, and annual reporting. It should offer data-sharing features for internal and external stakeholders, advanced reporting tools, and compatibility with other agency reporting systems. The system should support both scheduled and ad hoc reports and provide secure access for partner agencies.
