DESCRIPTION

A client seeks a comprehensive, cloud-based chemical inventory management system (CIMS) to enhance safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and facilitate real-time inventory tracking throughout the chemical lifecycle from procurement to disposal. The solution must be cloud-based and deployed across a wide range of locations, including over 400 laboratories (research, teaching, and preparation spaces), as well as facilities management and custodial storage areas.

The platform should enable multi-device access, supporting desktop computers, mobile phones, and tablets, and provide robust data import/export capabilities in CSV format. Essential features include hierarchical location tracking down to room and storage area level, inventory assignment at the room level, and support for both laboratory and non-laboratory chemical usage environments. Additionally, the system must feature integrated identity and access management with single sign-on (SSO) capabilities and allow for facilities or space management functionalities.

The initial contract will be for a period of one year. Vendors must address all questions by April 28, 2026.
