Ontario is seeking a qualified vendor to supply and implement a modern, cloud-based cemetery management system as a replacement for its current legacy platform. The primary objectives include enhancing cemetery operations, modernizing core services, and enabling greater efficiency through technology.
The new system will automate tasks such as scheduling, inventory tracking, and workflow management. It will feature intuitive self-service portals tailored to the needs of the public, funeral homes, and monument companies, along with secure, remote access for staff on various devices. Digitization of historical records and maps will be incorporated to preserve and provide better accessibility to legacy data. The solution will also streamline financial workflows, offering integrated payment systems, automated invoicing, and reconciliation tools.
Key requirements for the platform include data-driven reporting with customizable dashboards, integration with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and support for interactive cemetery maps with real-time updates. Online booking capabilities, a live interment calendar with conflict prevention features, and role-based access controls are essential. The system should also support aerial imagery, historic tour content, and Single Sign-On (SSO) compatible with the City’s authentication processes.
Vendors are expected to submit all questions regarding this opportunity by October 29, 2025.
