A vendor is sought to provide a cloud-based bookstore register replacement and comprehensive point of sale (POS) system. The solution must include inventory management, POS, and eCommerce capabilities, supporting secure, reliable, and scalable operations for a higher-education bookstore. Integration with existing institutional systems is required, with support for course materials, Inclusive Access programs, and enhanced operational efficiency and reporting.

The system should support both textbooks and general merchandise sales, with a real-time perpetual inventory management component tailored to college and university bookstore needs. Mobile solutions are needed for off-site events and pop-up sales, fully integrated with the core POS system via wired and wireless internet. The platform should support fixed in-store POS and mobile devices, accept chip cards, contactless payments, mobile wallets, gift cards, split payments, and provide both printed and electronic receipts.

The solution must offer real-time inventory updates across all sales channels and facilitate data import/export in standard formats. A fully hosted and mobile-responsive eCommerce platform, already in production use at similar institutions, is essential. Required integrations include VitalSource, Day One (Inclusive Access), and Ellucian Colleague.
