DESCRIPTION

Ontario is seeking a qualified vendor to supply and implement a cloud-based enterprise solution for backup, recovery, and disaster recovery. The solution must provide strong security features such as role-based access control and separation of duties, achieved through workflow or technical controls.

Vendors are required to detail their organization's monitoring, detection, and alerting capabilities, including strategies to defend against emerging threats like quantum-enabled attacks and advanced persistent threats (APTs). Visibility into third-party dependencies must be provided, along with information on how these partners are addressing quantum technology transitions.

The proposal should include evidence of third-party security assessments, penetration testing, or relevant certifications (such as FIPS 140–3 or Common Criteria) that account for post-quantum security considerations. Additionally, vendors must offer a knowledge-based support portal for staff support and troubleshooting. The solution should address configuration, scalability, cybersecurity, user interface, comprehensive backup and restore processes (including file-level and image-level restores), and thorough disaster recovery planning, testing, and validation.
