The state of Missouri is seeking a qualified vendor to deliver a fully managed, cloud-based backup and disaster recovery solution tailored for vSphere virtual environments. The selected provider will be responsible for replicating and backing up all on-premises vSphere workloads, enabling seamless fallback and recovery to local environments when necessary. Offsite backups and a cloud-based disaster recovery site must be included to ensure that, in the event of a disaster, all virtual workloads can be recovered to a vendor-managed, software-defined data center in the cloud.
The solution must operate as an on-demand environment, with no pilot-lights, and billing structures should clearly separate cloud storage consumption for backup snapshots from on-demand environment usage. The cloud infrastructure must include at least two hypervisor hosts in geographically redundant U.S.-based datacenters, and be fully compliant with CJIS requirements. The vendor will manage all recovery services during major disasters or operational disruptions, including virtual networking migration, matching cloud IP allocations with the on-premises assignments, and supporting the configuration of virtual firewalls and related rules for secure access.
All proposed datacenters must reside within the United States, and the provider is expected to handle all technical aspects of environment replication and networking. Vendors must submit any questions regarding this opportunity by January 30, 2026.
