Oregon is seeking a vendor to provide a cloud-based Alternative Learning Experience (ALE) Information Management System designed to support innovative, student-centered learning for diverse populations. This comprehensive platform will empower districts to create, manage, and monitor individualized learning plans while tracking enrollment, academic progress, and engagement across a variety of flexible learning pathways.
The solution must be accessible via standard web browsers and feature a mobile-responsive, intuitive interface or dedicated mobile apps. It should offer a scalable architecture to accommodate large student populations across multiple schools, districts, and various school types, including public, charter, private, and tribal entities. The system should support Single Sign-On (SSO) and directory integrations such as SAML 2.0, OAuth, and LDAP/Active Directory for secure access management.
Integration with Student Information Systems (SIS) is required to facilitate seamless data exchange of enrollment records, course details, grades, and credits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state reporting guidelines. The platform must be capable of tracking part-time, full-time, and concurrent enrollments, managing student enrollments with future start dates, and supporting mass enrollment functionalities.
Additional capabilities include tools for creating, managing, and monitoring Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs), logging attendance and engagement, and recording instructional hours and student activities. This system is vital for maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements related to alternative learning experiences.
