DESCRIPTION
This RFP seeks a vendor to design, upgrade, integrate, and install a cloud-based Flight Information Display System (FIDS), Gate Information Display System (GIDS), Baggage Information Display System (BIDS), and Terminal Public Address (PA) System. The solution will provide for the upgrade and replacement of existing systems, with full consideration for a cloud-based architecture.
The selected vendor will be responsible for managing flight schedule data and distributing information to flight, gate, baggage, and check-in counters, as well as displays throughout the terminal. The system must include design tools with customizable templates for screen displays and video monitors, enabling airport staff to independently create and modify display layouts and integrate web page content.
Additional requirements include interfaces for current and accurate flight information, visual paging accessible from client workstations, easy-to-use client access for multiple users with varying security rights, and administrative capabilities for schedule and access management. The system must support secure configuration of access restrictions per user level, and provide host data feeds to allow airlines to download flight data directly to the FIDS database, ensuring scalability for future airline integrations.
