The Washington Department of Health is seeking a vendor to implement a cloud-based Accela module to enhance its food safety program. The solution will build upon the department’s existing Accela environmental health platform, which is currently used for septic and utility verification functions.
This new module is intended to streamline and automate critical processes associated with food safety, including plan reviews, permitting, inspections, complaint tracking, and foodborne illness reporting. The project will enable the department to transition away from paper-based applications and in-person permit processing, allowing for a more efficient, fully online experience for customers applying for temporary, annual, or mobile food permits, as well as plan review submissions and illness reports.
The selected vendor will be responsible for configuring and developing comprehensive online record types, ensuring integration of record documents and data with the department's current Laserfiche repository, building customer report functionality, and providing training and support documentation for staff and users.
