A correctional facility is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a comprehensive cloud and web-based video visitation system designed for incarcerated individuals. The proposed solution must deliver a secure, technology-driven communication platform, including wireless tablets for all inmates, facility-wide Wi-Fi service, and an integrated suite of software applications supporting video visitation, medical requests, commissary management, and grievance submissions.
The system should operate on a cloud-based platform offering various products that enable incarcerated individuals to securely connect with approved visitors and access authorized content. It must be fully compatible with tablet and mobile technologies and include VOIP-based internet video visitation features. Additional requirements include the ability for the system to interface with and update the facility’s Jail Management System, as well as a web-based dashboard for facility management. The platform should support user authentication, permission-based access, HD streaming, account blocking, and comprehensive visitation reporting with filtering capabilities. Vendors must also provide technical expertise for the furnishing, delivery, and ongoing maintenance of the video visitation system.
