Michigan Advocacy Program
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The selected vendor will provide Chief Financial Officer (CFO) services, handling the comprehensive financial operations for a government authority in Michigan. Responsibilities include the oversight of all financial affairs, maintaining the general ledger, processing invoices, payroll management, grant allocation, and managing data input and reporting through the program’s financial accounting system.
The CFO will be involved in facilities and equipment management, including overseeing leases, building and equipment maintenance, procurement, and supply management. The role is primarily responsible for managing the organization’s overall budget process in collaboration with program leadership and the development team, ensuring development of both grant-specific and program-wide budgets.
Additional duties cover administration of internal program systems such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and time records pertinent to financial reporting. The CFO is also responsible for quarterly financial reporting to the audit committee—including statements of financial position, balance sheets, income statements, budgets, net asset projections, and investment reports. Providing ongoing financial updates and budget projections to office managers and program directors is a critical part of the role.
