DESCRIPTION
The government authority in West Point, New York is seeking a contractor to modernize an existing commercial cellular distributed antenna system (DAS). The project includes upgrading and renovating DAS components and equipment that have reached end-of-life status and replacing them with current 5G-capable technology.
The selected vendor will install new cabling, passive equipment, and active equipment to deliver a complete upgrade to 5G capability within the facility. The upgraded system must support signal distribution for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. The contractor will also be responsible for coordinating any service interruptions with the CIO/G6 Network Service Branch, the DAS maintenance contractor, and, if necessary, the major wireless carriers.
In addition, the contractor must test and certify that the modernized system meets or exceeds the specified performance requirements and provide the results to the CIO/G6 Network Service Branch. This opportunity is designated as a total Small Business set-aside.
