DESCRIPTION


The government authority located in Washington, DC is seeking a vendor to provide a migration system for the catalog of U.S. publications. This project will replace the existing Integrated Library System (ILS), Aleph, with a new ILS or Library Services Platform incorporating several essential modules and components.

Key modules to be included are Acquisitions, Cataloging, Authority Control, Serials/Continuing Resources, Preservation and Collection Management, Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), Indexing, Data Reporting, Data Statistics, Data Analytics, External System Interoperability, Union Catalog, and Operating System Reporting. The new system must support enhanced data management, user interface improvements, interoperability with external systems, and robust preservation and collection management functionalities.

The goal is to modernize library services and support comprehensive management and discovery of U.S. government publications.
