DESCRIPTION

This RFP seeks vendors to provide comprehensive career pathway programs for clinical support roles in Delaware. The objective is to collaborate with health systems, educational institutions, facilities, and community organizations to expand and develop workforce training programs, particularly targeting rural and underserved communities within the state.

Qualified vendors will create and support training for non-physician healthcare professionals such as nurse practitioners, physician assistants, community health workers, dental professionals, paramedics, and other clinical support staff. The programs should support the development, expansion, and student assistance that establish sustainable pipelines from training through rural workforce placement.

The initiative aims to fund new and expanded training programs, build career pathways, and offer structured routes from career exploration to certification and employment—encompassing K–12 pipeline programs, apprenticeships, and career ladders with advancing credentials. Priority training areas include dementia care, substance use disorder treatment, emergency medical services, preventive oral health, maternal and child health, behavioral health, and chronic disease management.
