Carbon Accounting Software

This RFP seeks the provision and implementation of a comprehensive carbon accounting software solution tailored to the unique requirements of the healthcare sector in Ontario, Canada. The chosen software must enable accurate measurement, tracking, and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions across all scopes, including but not limited to energy consumption, medical supply chains, waste management, and patient care activities.

The solution should provide relevant carbon footprint metrics for hospitals, such as carbon intensities per patient or per bed. It must feature capabilities for healthcare-specific emissions factors, particularly for drugs and pharmaceuticals, and be able to collect and import activity data spanning the entire organizational value chain. The software is expected to store, apply, and update emissions factors, calculate emissions across all three greenhouse gas scopes automatically, and allow for disaggregation of data by subsidiary or asset group (e.g., business units). The initial contract period is for one year.
