DESCRIPTION

A government authority in Rapid, South Dakota is seeking a professional campus planner and designer to develop a comprehensive long-term Campus Master Plan (CMP). The selected firm will be responsible for integrating the college’s mission, educational programs, and the needs of the surrounding community into the master plan. Key tasks include conducting a thorough review and evaluation of various campus facilities, identifying current and future facility requirements, and preparing a strategic plan for campus development that addresses these needs.

The scope involves supporting academic programming, workforce development, and community partnerships, while facilitating future capital planning and budgeting. The plan prioritizes the consolidation and relocation of skilled trades programs into a new, purpose-built facility as phase 5, and the renovation of current trade shop spaces into laboratories and classrooms for medical, IT, engineering, and architectural programs. The master plan should also provide flexible recommendations for developing new offerings aligned with community and workforce needs, as well as guidance within academic, physical, and financial contexts.

A non-mandatory site visit is scheduled for March 10, 2026, and all questions must be submitted by March 20, 2026.
