DESCRIPTION


A government authority in Sacramento, California seeks a vendor to provide CalSim 3 model logic development services. The selected contractor will support improvements to operational assumptions within the CalSim model and assist in related operations analysis. Key areas of focus include water allocation, export strategies, rescheduling, model efficiency, Cooperating Operations Agreement (COA) considerations, and Millerton operations logic.

The scope of work includes project management, facilitating meetings and coordination; ongoing support for CalSim model development; as-needed support for operations and modeling staff; and comprehensive data management and documentation. The contractor will also be expected to address technical challenges, explore enhancements to model efficiency such as cycle structure and San Joaquin groundwater simulation, and develop a database encompassing historical water sources, uses, and sources for individual contractors represented in CalSim. Final models and complete documentation for all code delivered are required by contract conclusion.
