The government authority in San Diego, California is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive cabling and structured cable system design services on an as-needed basis. The required services include the repair, replacement, modification, and maintenance of networks for data, telephone, video-conferencing, and audio video applications. Additional support is required for overhead speakers used in paging and radio communications.
Services cover all CAT type cabling, structured system design and cabling installation for both LAN and WAN, duct installation (plenum and riser rated), as well as installation of network equipment racks, enclosures, patch panels, electrical wiring, and cabling. The contract also includes data center equipment bracing, cable system design and installation (including riser and overhead cable systems), Wi-Fi access point support (internal and outdoor), move-out services, and network rack equipment removal.
Vendors will be responsible for fiber optic network design and installation—including multimode and single-mode cabling, fusion splicing, and industry-standard terminations—as well as emergency repairs for data, fiber, electrical, voice, and audio video cabling. The scope extends to the secure mounting of display devices, full audio/visual systems integration, and testing of all installed equipment to meet agency standards and specifications. The contract period is one year.
