The selected vendor will serve as the broker of record for employee health benefits services for the government authority located in Paramus, New Jersey. Responsibilities include negotiating, analyzing, and recommending all health insurance coverage options for the school district. The broker must thoroughly review current health insurance plans and employee contracts in order to effectively compare and analyze proposals—ensuring that any changes offer equal or better coverage than existing plans.
Upon completing comparative and compliance reviews, the broker should suggest recommendations to the district that could yield cost savings while upholding the requirements of employee contracts. The broker is also tasked with monitoring carrier compliance, fostering strong relationships between the district and insurance carriers, and ensuring commitment adherence. Additionally, they will review policies for accuracy, compliance, and cost effectiveness, while handling the management of the district’s Health Benefits Program, the employee online portal, and the Employee Assistance Program.
