The Department of the Navy, through the Naval Sea Systems Command and the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division, is announcing an upcoming Broad Request for Solutions (BRFS) focused on research, development, prototyping, demonstration, testing, analytics, modeling, and simulation in support of national defense requirements. This initiative seeks innovative proposals to address current and future capability gaps across ten specified technology areas.
The BRFS will be released to members of the Expeditionary Missions Consortium (EMC2) via the EMC2 Members Only Site in or around May 2026. Solutions should target areas such as contested logistics, energy resilient smart microgrids, technologies for improved water resilience, advanced battery technology, and energy demand reduction for weapons performance, among others. Project awards will be issued through the EMC2 Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) framework in accordance with relevant defense acquisition statutes.
Participation requires EMC2 membership. Project management will be handled by the NSWC Crane Division.
