A government authority in Plainfield, Connecticut is seeking a qualified vendor to provide bridge replacement design services. The selected firm will be responsible for visiting the bridge site to carry out comprehensive field investigations, including verifying previous inspection reports and assessing for any structural defects.
The project requires the consultant to conduct a detailed survey documenting all significant existing conditions within the project limits, such as topography, utilities, rights-of-way, natural and built structures. Additionally, the vendor must identify and clearly delineate wetland boundaries in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
The consultant will also be expected to meet with agency staff and elected officials to present findings and recommendations resulting from the preliminary review and field investigations. Based on the initial assessment, the town anticipates a complete bridge replacement will be necessary. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 2, 2026.
