Braille and Alternative Format Printing Services

The government authority located in Prince Frederick, Maryland seeks a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive braille and alternative format printing services. Required services include braille translation and printing of materials such as brochures, flyers, meeting agendas, surveys, newsletters, and transcripts. The vendor must employ embossing techniques ensuring tactile clarity and durability, and all braille materials should be proofread, preferably by both a sighted braillist and a blind reader.

In addition to braille services, the contractor will produce large print versions of materials, either printed or digital, utilizing accessible fonts, color contrast, and compliant formatting under established accessibility standards. Collaborative review and approval with County staff is required prior to final printing.

All materials must meet or exceed industry standards for readability, clarity, and durability, and strict quality control must be maintained throughout. The contract term will be one year.
