The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is conducting market research and seeking information from vendors regarding tax software products, middleware, support, and related training solutions to support individual and corporate tax audits. This inquiry aims to gather details on industry capabilities, pricing, delivery options, and integration capacity to assist with the development of an effective acquisition strategy.
Currently, the IRS Large Business and International (LB&I) appeals business unit utilizes Bloomberg Tax software products—including Corporate Tax Analyzer (CTA), Income Tax Planner (ITP), and IMS Middleware (IMS M)—to streamline individual and corporate tax audits by facilitating integration with various IRS tax systems. These tools enhance case management efficiency, taxpayer engagement, and overall communication and collaboration.
Vendors with the capacity to provide similar tax software products along with associated training and support services are encouraged to submit information outlining their capabilities, relevant experience, integration solutions, and workforce estimates. The IRS is particularly interested in learning about potential sources, including small and disadvantaged businesses, that are capable of meeting these requirements.
