TIMELINE

Site preparation, seeding and plant installation shall be completed in Spring 2026. Planting must be completed after May 15th but no later than June 30th, 2026.

Substantial completion must be achieved by June 30th, 2026.

Final completion must be achieved by October 15th, 2026.

The successful Bidder shall be responsible for the maintenance and management of native plantings at the Glenview & Big Tree/Heather site until September 15th, 2028.

DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Wilmette, Illinois is seeking a vendor to provide construction and stewardship services for the Glenview & Big Tree/Heather site, converting it into native prairie habitat. The project includes the application of herbicide to remove unwanted vegetation, soil preparation, erosion control, and the supply and installation of native shrubs, prairie seed, and plugs.

The successful bidder will be responsible for meeting detailed performance criteria, including supplemental seeding, perennial planting, and/or shrub planting to ensure project benchmarks are achieved. Ongoing responsibilities include monthly site visits during the growing season (May 1 through September 30) and submission of annual monitoring reports.
