A government authority in Suffolk, Virginia is seeking a vendor to provide best management practices (BMP) services for stormwater facilities and related landscaping, offered on an as-needed basis across various locations within the city. The scope of work includes removing trash and sediment from underground chambers, removing oil layers from permanent pools, storm filter systems, and hydrodynamic separators, and ensuring proper disposal of materials in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Additional services required include dredging and muck removal from vegetated swales, dry ponds, bio-retention areas, sediment fore-bays, and wet ponds. The contract also covers vacuum sweeping, repacking and replacing permeable surface pavers, underlayment replacement, and maintaining access for ingress and egress to the facilities. The contract period is for one year.
