Benchmark Data Medical Coding Service

The vendor will provide benchmark data medical coding services for Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), Current Dental Terminology (CDT), and other applicable coding systems. The service must obtain benchmark pricing data, including charge and allowed amounts, and ensure that benchmarks are statistically valid, transparent, and regularly updated throughout the support period.

The vendor will provide benchmarks for each service code using national rates, state-based rates, ZIP codes, and rural or non-rural classifications. Benchmark rates should incorporate industry, federal government, state government, and other credible sources. Ongoing support will also be required for interpreting and updating fee schedule data, benchmarks, and related analyses.

Customer support must address data-related questions, including explanations of value calculations, changes, and geographic differences. Upon request, the vendor will provide graphical illustrations, such as histograms, showing the relationship between benchmarks and the underlying data. The contract period will be one year.
