DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Barre, Massachusetts is seeking a qualified vendor to provide before and after school as well as school break programming services for a three-year contract period. The selected provider must hold and maintain appropriate state licensing to operate a school-age childcare program, as well as a current registration or approval certificate allowing acceptance of childcare vouchers. The program must offer families flexible scheduling options and pricing structures, with the commitment to uphold these rates throughout the year.

Effective operation requires maintaining sufficient staffing, including an on-site supervisor during program hours. The scope of services includes delivering academic, enrichment, social, emotional, and wellness-oriented curriculum and activities for students. The provider will also assist families in securing tuition financial aid and is responsible for organizing at least one family engagement event annually, coordinated with open house or other school-wide celebrations to highlight student participation. Adequate documentation, compliance with all licensing regulations, and a strong commitment to family engagement are essential components of the required services.

A pre-bid site visit is scheduled for April 22, 2026, to allow interested vendors to better understand the facility and program needs.
