DESCRIPTION

A government authority in Port Houston, Texas is seeking a vendor to execute balance sheet reconciliation and process evaluation services in the context of an ERP migration. The selected vendor will be responsible for validating and reconciling balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate migration of opening balances, confirming the integrity of subledger-to-general ledger relationships, and verifying that Q1 2026 financial activity has been properly captured in the new system.

The scope includes delivering a fully reconciled balance sheet as of March 31, 2026 (Q1 2026 close), with all material accounts supported by comprehensive workpapers and formal sign-offs, to be substantially completed by June 30, 2026. The vendor will identify, investigate, and propose resolution for all reconciling items above an agreed materiality threshold, including issues stemming from data migration, posting errors, subledger discrepancies, and unapplied transactions. The engagement will also involve compiling an inventory of all balance sheet general ledger accounts as of the Workday go-live date and as of March 31, 2026, and stratifying these accounts by risk tier based on materiality, transaction volume, complexity, and migration method.

Additionally, the provider will produce a written process evaluation with recommendations for Q3 2026 and beyond, focusing on identifying gaps, automation opportunities, and best practices, leveraging Workday’s capabilities for reconciliation and financial close. The contract period is for one year.
